We’re a little different. We have a mission, and it isn’t making a profit.
Our goal is to make it easy and safe for people to find work. We do so by building incredible web-based applications and using and building open source software to do so. We build tools that make a difference, and we like to work with people that want to make a difference.
We Are Committed to Diversity
When it comes to finding great ideas and great people, we know diversity delivers.
When it Comes to Creating Great Software We Are All Peers
We believe that people write great code and teams create great software. If you want to work with others who check their pride in at the door and put our mission and our users first, you’ll love the way we work.
We Believe in Open Source.
We use open source tools and ship open source code. For us, it isn’t about inexpensive, it is about using the best tools and sharing with others. We build web applications using Django, Haystack, Lucene, and Solr. Our applications are hosted in the cloud on Linux servers.
Use the Tools You Like
The first question we ask when you are hired: “Windows, Linux or Mac?” Everyone knows and loves different tools, and we get it. You are productive using the tools you like to work with.
We Are Agile
Our belief is that Agile development yields the best solutions. If you believe in DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself), live by “ship early and often” and like to iterate you will fit right in with our team.
We Love Python
While we use Python & Javascript to build our applications, we know that smart, motivated hackers can be productive with new tools quickly. Regardless of what language you consider your native tongue, if you want to help us build great applications, we want to hear from you.
User Experience Matters
How our software is used matters. When we build applications, we start and finish with delivering the best possible user experience.
Not for Profit
Our deadlines are driven by our mission. As a part of our team, you’ll get to work on real, important features focused on improving the job search experience.
Everyone is a developer. Even people who don’t have “Developer” or “Engineer” in their job title.
Ever wonder what it would be like to work in an environment where everyone was a maker? We believe the best way to build a great organization to deliver great technology is to hire people who have actual experience making great technology.
