Today, DirectEmployers released several new enhancements to the market leading .JOBS Microsites career marketing platform. .JOBS Microsites are used by 42% of the Fortune 500 and power .JOBS Universe sites like jobs.jobs. The new features provide compatibility with new US Department of Labor job search sites, enable more accurate tracking of traffic and simplify the process of importing jobs from applicant tracking systems to .JOBS Microsites.

Enhanced support for Schema.org’s Job Posting standard frees employers from needing to pay a job board or aggregator to publish jobs to US Department of Labor initiatives. According to Rick Wherle, VP of Product Development, “Support for Schema.Org now enables .JOBS Microsite owners to submit their .JOBS Microsites to US Department of Labor job banks like SummerJobs 2012 and the National Resource Directory.”

Despite not having most of the features of competing music players, iPod won. iPod proved that feature correctness can enable a product with fewer features to win a market over well financed, more advanced products. Apple did not invent the MP3 player. Apple entered the mp3 player market four years late. Apple tossed out conventional wisdom and did something totally different. Today, DirectEmployers Association launched a new, visually engaging home page for US State .JOBS sites. The new layout features a user directed slideshow which features beautiful photographs of state landmarks and member sponsored photo content. The new design also moves these .JOBS sites to the .JOBS Microsites platform which improves page load time and provides a more search engine friendly site structure.
